Welp. It's official. I can't say I didn't see it coming either...
Warped Tour is coming back!!!
Yesterday, Kevin Lyman, announced on Twitter that while he can't say much at the current time, he could at least confirm that the Vans Warped Tour would be making a limited run in 2019. This limited run is in honor of 2019 being the "25th Anniversary" of the tour. He says that there will be five dates in total.
They include:
June 8th - Cleveland
June 29th - East Coast
June 30th - East Coast
July 20th - West Coast
July 21st - West Coast
This vague description leaves fans wondering as to what cities will get the honors of hosting such a prestigious event. As to my predictions, I believe that one of the East Coast dates will be Philly/Camden or New York City. The other East Coast date I assume would be somewhere south either in Atlanta or Florida perhaps. When looking at the West Coast dates, I think that there will definitely be a California date. As for the other, I would like to think it would probably be either maybe Denver or even somewhere in Texas.
While Lyman made this announcement yesterday, Warped Tour's official media accounts made an official statement today saying that the locations and venues will be announced on January 28th and the artists lineup will be announced in "Early March" (See Post Below). This gives fans a little more a month to speculate as to where Warped will make stops in 2019. As for me personally, I will use this month to mentally prepare myself for a road trip to the nearest date!
None the less, it is great to hear the "Pop Punk Summer Camp" will live on for yet another year!
